We’ve been reading the story “Beauty and the Beast” a lot lately from a Disney storybook collection Miles has. I like to put on a big French accent for the Lumiere character.
M:Â Why do you talk like that when it’s Lumiere?
A:Â Because he’s French.
M:Â Then why don’t you go [weird heavy breathing noise]?
A:Â … what?
M: Oh, never mind. I was thinking of German.
