Adventures in Madison
Madison is such a nice town. I went up there for a meeting yesterday, which was ok but not fantastic; the people we met with were good to talk to and I enjoyed seeing Madison again and hearing what they were up to in their analogous D2L implementation, but I’m not sure it was worth six hours of travel for 3 hours of meetings. I wish I’d had more time to spend there, even though it was a gloomy day.
Anyway, the best part was having Nepali food for lunch with my friend Rachel, who in grad school there. Good food and good company = good times. I had a spicy soup with cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, and onion-beef-coriander dumplings. My colleagues went to a sports bar, and one found a hair in her food.
Hey! I love meeting with friends. You have to be proud and happy of your life every day (; just think. What could you do if you weren’t there?
And remember! Treat your every day like a last!
Big kiss.
There is also one of the most interesting wine bars at the end of state street not far from the Capitol. I’m from Beaver Dam not 20 minutes from Madison. I love that town! GO BADGERS!
