Bad news for bridesmaid dresses
So this weekend I stopped by a bridal shop to get measured for my bridesmaid dress for Sarah’s wedding, and while I was there, I checked out some bridesmaid dresses for my own.
I found the dress that was my favorite (the #1 dress over there on the right; it was also leading in the poll), but in person I hated it. The fabric felt gross, and the color didn’t look nearly as pretty as I’d hoped. That particular design only comes in black and “midnight” (which is a fake color anyway). I was hoping “midnight” would be a nice rich purply blue, like the one I simulated in the picture.
Unfortunately, it was a really, really dark navy, almost black. What, may I ask, is the point of offering a dress in two colors if the two colors are almost exactly the same? Hmph.
In good news, I did find a few other dresses I like; unfortunately, I can’t seem to find pictures of all of them, and one doesn’t come in any colors I like very much (silver is OK, but silver isn’t a very good color on very many people). I’ll keep working on it.
The silver one:
This one actually comes in deep blue (same dress, front and back views):
I like this one, but I’m not sure the cut would be very flattering on people. However, I want to do whatever I can for that poor woman who lost her hands in some sort of mining accident. Hm. I’ll shall adjust my poll with the new candidates.
Was it okay to vote again, now that there’s a new set of gowns? I hope so, ’cause I did.
Yes, that’s fine. I cleared out the old votes since the leader is no longer in the running. Ah…doesn’t that have a nice ring to it?
