365: January
There’s a pretty active Flickr group for the 365 project, which is 365 self-portraits, one taken every day, for a year. I started on New Year’s Day, which means I’ve done 31 of them, and I’m already sort of sick of myself. It’s an interesting challenge, though, and I’ve gotten to look at a lot of cool pictures of other people doing the project.
Here’s a mosaic of January. I realize there are only 30 pictures there. It’s because 30 makes a nicer grid than 31, and I inadvertently did two days that were almost the same.
Click mosaic for my main Flickr photostream.
Excellent photography-I think you are giving Denny a run for the money. Is the idea to take the picture at the same time each day? Because it looks like an inordinate number were taken in the bathroom-or is there really someone out there who spend as much time in there as me?
Still going to do it when you’re on your way to Rome? I can imagine between the in-transit time and the jet lag it might be hard to stay on top of it, but since you’ve already done a whole month you’ve got a good start on staying committed. Excellent photos BTW.
I figured DC was involved in at least some of these shots. No?
Nope, I took them all. They’re self-portraits. I think you can take them whenever, but you’re right, Will; I did tend toward the bathroom. I think it’s because I’m nice and fresh-looking in the morning. 🙂
I do hope to keep it up during and on the way to Rome; looking haggard at the airport is all part of the fun.
I have seen all your pictures of yourself. You are really a wittiness! Your images are so funny and appealing that I spent one hour to look at all of them. My compliments.
